The Kentucky Lake Area Sci-Fi
Society is based in Puryear, Tennessee, 10 miles south of Murray, Kentucky, home of Murray State University.
We are a club for fans of all
types and forms of Science Fiction, ranging from Star Trek to Star Wars,
from Doctor Who, to MIB, to Babylon 5. However we are especially fans of all the different
Star Trek programs.
We meet on the third Monday
night of each month, in the home of the club president at 7:30pm featuring talk, games, fun,
fellowship, and sometimes, FOOD!.
KLASS is involved with charity
work, doing volunteer work for various groups and projects These
include such projects as the STARFLEET scholarship program, and the Overseas Coupon
Project
.
Is KLASS alone or is it part
of a bigger group?
KLASS is part of organized
fandom by membership or association in national and international organizations.
In those organizations, we are known as Space Station Nikola Tesla, a mythical
space station in the fandom universe.

STARFLEET: The International
Star Trek Fan Association
Recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the
World's Largest Science Fiction Fan Club. For over 31 years, STARFLEET
has seen the different incarnations of Star Trek, from the original series
to Enterprise.
Today, under the leadership
of FADM Mandi Livingston, the adventures continues, with over 4100 members world
wide

(KLASS) is the home base for the 163rd MSG of the STARFLEET Marine Corp.
